Code No.U1190: The Network System Diagnosis Code Output Permitted Signal Can Not Be Received
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Condition
Ignition switch is in "ON" position
Judgment Criterion
The diagnosis enable signal from the ETACS-ECU about the abnormal CAN is not received at all for 5 seconds or more after the ignition switch is on.
COMMENT ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
The ETACS-ECU sends the permitted / not permitted signals for detecting the diagnosis code (U-code) to each ECU connected with the CAN busline. When the engine-ECU cannot receive the permitted / not permitted signals for detecting the diagnosis code (U-code) for 5seconds, the diagnosis code No. U1190 is stored.
PROBABLE CAUSES
Failed ETACS-ECU
Failed CAN bus
Failed engine-ECU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics
Using M.U.T.-III perform the CAN buslines diagnosis.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2 .
Repair the CAN busline (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting Can Bus Diagnostics Table ), and then go to Step 3 .
STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code.
Reconfirm whether the diagnosis codes are output from engine-ECU.
(1)Erase the diagnosis codes being output.
(2)Ignition switch: "LOCK" (OFF) to "ON".
(3)Confirm whether the diagnosis codes are output.
Q.
Are the diagnosis codes output?
Replace the ETACS-ECU, and then go to Step 3 .
Check end.
STEP 3.
