Connect M.U.T.-III to the 16-pin diagnosis connector. (2)Start the engine. (3)Set M.U.T.-III to the data reading mode, and check the data list items by driving the vehicle.
- Item 1 (Code No.C1205 is set): Front left wheel speed sensor
- Item 2 (Code No.C1200 is set): Front right wheel speed sensor
- Item 3 (Code No.C1215 is set): Rear left wheel speed sensor
- Item 4 (Code No.C1210 is set): Rear right wheel speed sensor
(4)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Q.
Does the speedometer indication match the M.U.T.-III indication?
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent. Refer to GROUP 00, How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .
Go to Step 4.

(1)Disconnect the connector A-01, and connect special tool ABS check harness (MB991952) to the wiring harness-side connector.
note |
Do not connect special tool ABS check harness (MB991952) to the ABS-ECU.
|
(2)Measure the resistance between the ABS-ECU connector terminals. Standard Value: 0.9 - 1.3 kΩ
- Code No.C1200 is set: Between terminal 26 and 27
- Code No.C1205 is set: Between terminal 4 and 5
- Code No.C1210 is set: Between terminal 24 and 23
- Code No.C1215 is set: Between terminal 1 and 2
Q.
Is the resistance between terminals 26 and 27, 4 and 5, 1 and 2, or 24 and 23 within the standard value?
When resistances between all terminals are within the standard value. : Go to Step 14.
When resistance between terminals 26 and 27 is not within the standard value. : Go to Step 5.
