The USB memory device data cannot be replayed. <Vehicles with MMCS>

caution Before replacing the USB box, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

If the sound replay is impossible with the USB/iPod mode, USB cable, USB box, or multivision display may be defective, or a communication error between the multivision display and USB box may have occurred.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the multivision display operation.

Check if the multivision display work normally and the sound is output.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Troubleshoot the MMCS. (Refer to .)

note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check junction block connectors C-209, C-213 and joint connector C-132, and repair if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?

The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 7. Resistance measurement at C-174 USB box connector.

(1)Disconnect C-60 USB box connector, and measure the resistance available at the wiring harness side of the connector.
(2)Check the continuity between terminal No.17 and body earth.
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 9.
Go to Step 8.
