REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION


Pre-removal Operation

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

<<A>> OIL PUMP SPROCKET CENTRE BOLT REMOVAL

1.Secure the oil pump sprocket and the oil pump chain with cable band to prevent slippage between the oil pump sprocket and the oil pump chain.
2.Hold the oil pump sprocket with special tool top cover wrench (MB991346).
3.After removing the oil pump sprocket centre bolt, disconnect the oil pump sprocket from the oil pump case while the oil pump sprocket is installed in the oil pump chain.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT

>>A<< OIL PUMP SPROCKET CENTRE BOLT INSTALLATION
1.Install the oil pump sprocket in the oil pump case while the oil pump sprocket is installed in the oil pump chain.

2.Hold the oil pump sprocket with special tool top cover wrench (MB991346) in the same manner as removal.
3.Tighten the oil pump sprocket centre bolt to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 23 ± 2 N·m
4.Remove the cable band securing the oil pump sprocket and oil pump chain to prevent the slippage between them.
