FUNCTION

Monitors the computation function of the engine-ECU periodically.

TROUBLE JUDGMENT

Check Condition

Ignition switch is "ON" position.

Judgement Criterion

All RAM data of engine-ECU are defect.

or

RAM data (engine) is defect.

FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION

Microcomputer is reset.

or

Throttle opening degree position is in default position.

PROBABLE CAUSE

Failed engine-ECU

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

Reconfirmation of diagnosis code.

Q. Is diagnosis code set?

	Replace the engine-ECU.
