DISASSEMBLY



1.Remove the oil separator.

2.Using special tools, remove the tapered roller bearing outer race.

  • Slide hammer (MB990211)
  • Slide hammer puller (MB992039)

3.Remove the shim.

4.Remove the oil seal.

5.Using special tools, remove the tapered roller bearing outer race and shim.

  • Slide hammer (MB990211)
  • Slide hammer puller (MB992039)

6.Remove the hole snap ring (two pieces).

7.Remove the oil receiver pipe.

REASSEMBLY



1.install the oil receiver pipe in the transmission case.

2.install the hole snap ring (two pieces) in the transmission case.

3.install the shim in the transmission case.

4.Using special tool Bearing outer race installer (MB991966), install the tapered roller bearing outer race in the transmission case.

5.Using special tool Differential oil seal installer (MB991168), install the oil seal in the transmission case.
Specified grease:
MITSUBISHI MOTORS GENUINE Part No. 0101011 or equivalent

6.Install the shim in the transmission case.

7.Using special tools, install the tapered roller bearing outer race in the transmission case.

  • Installer bar (MB990938)
  • Knuckle oil seal installer (MB991015)

8.Install the oil separator and tighten to the specified torque of 8.5 ± 2.5 N·m.
