Code No. P0713: A/T Fluid Temperature Sensor System (Open Circuit)

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

With the vehicle speed 10 km/h or more, when the status of A/T fluid temperature -40°C or less is detected

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the A/T-ECU terminal voltage.

[A/T-ECU connector (harness side, connected)]
Turn ON the ignition switch, and check the voltage between O/TS terminal and O/T- terminal.

  • A/T fluid 20°C: Approx. 2.52 V
  • A/T fluid 80°C: Approx. 0.69 V

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check the A/T fluid temperature sensor as a single unit.

Refer to .

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Replace the valve body assembly.

STEP 3. Check for continuity in O/TS, O/T- line between the A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector and A/T-ECU connector.

When the continuity check result is OK, check that the wiring harness is not shorted to the body and other wiring harness.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 4. Check for open circuit and short to earth in VIG1, VIG2 line between the fusible link and the CVT-ECU connector, and check for open circuit in GND1, GND2 line between the CVT-ECU connector and body earth.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 5. Check the A/T-ECU connector pin terminal and the connection status.

Q. Is there a failure point?

Repair or replace the failure section.
Replace the A/T-ECU.

STEP 6. Erase the diagnosis code, and drive the vehicle for a while.

Check that the normal code is displayed.

Q. Is the check result normal?

The procedure is complete.
Return to Step 1.
