Code No.P0944: Electric Oil Pump Functional <Vehicles with AS&G system>


DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION


CVT-ECU monitors if the electric oil pump is operating normally.

JUDGMENT CRITERIA


During the auto stop (with the electric oil pump running), the line pressure remains lower than 0.06 MPa for longer than 5 seconds.

PROBABLE CAUSES



DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III data list
(1)Use the M.U.T.-III to bleed the air from the electric oil pump.(Refer to ).
(2)Item 62: Electric oil pump air bleeding status
OK: "Completed" is displayed.

Q. Is the check result normal?
The inspection is complete.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Electric oil pump drive check
Use the M.U.T.-III to bleed the air from the electric oil pump (Refer to ). During the air bleeding, check the electric oil pump drive sound and vibration.*
note *: The time during which you can check depends on the CVT fluid temperature.(Minimum: 5 seconds, Maximum: 40 seconds)

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Replace the electric oil pump. After that, bleed the air from the electric oil pump (Refer to ).

STEP 3. M.U.T.-III data list
Use the M.U.T.-III to bleed the air from the electric oil pump (Refer to ). During the air bleeding, check the data list (secondary pressure).

  • Item 19: Secondary pressure
OK: 0.1 MPa or more

Q. Is the check result normal?
Complete the electric oil pump air bleeding (Refer to ). The inspection is complete.
Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Sub oil strainer check
Remove the CVT sub oil strainer and visually check for clogs in the oil path.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Replace the control sub-valve assembly. After that, bleed the air from the electric oil pump (Refer to ).
Repair or replace the sub oil strainer. After that, bleed the air from the electric oil pump (Refer to ).
