DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

Check the door lock actuator operation in the following procedures:

1.Open a door that is supposed to be checked.

2.Remove a door trim assembly (Refer to GROUP 52A - Door Trim

3.Use a screwdriver or the like to slide the door latch claw from unlatch to full-latch position (Set the door latch from door-open to door-closed condition).

ACTUATOR OPERATION CHECK <FRONT LH AND REAR LH>

Claw position	Door inside handle lock knob position	Battery connection	Door inside handle lock knob operation
Full-latch	Lock	Connect terminal 1 to negative battery terminal. Connect terminal 2 to positive battery terminal.	Knob moves from "Lock" to "Unlock" position.
Full-latch	Unlock	Connect terminal 1 to positive battery terminal. Connect terminal 2 to negative battery terminal.	Knob moves from "Unlock" to "Lock" position.

DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR <RH DRIVE VEHICLES WITH DEAD LOCK SYSTEM>

After the inspection, check the dead lock system for correct operation in the following procedures:

1.Set the dead lock system on.

2.Unlock the door inside handle lock knob and check that the door latch claw does not unlatch by operating the door inside handle knob. When unlatching, replace the door latch assembly.
