1.Confirm the engine oil level is appropriate (Refer to Engine
Oil Check).

2.Warm up the engine until the engine oil temperature reaches 80°C (The radiator
fan operates once).
|
|
3.Remove the engine oil pressure switch (the brown insulation) from the oil filter bracket.
|
|
4.Install the special tool oil pressure tester (MB995216) to the portion in which the
engine oil pressure switch of the oil filter bracket is installed.
|
|
6.When the engine speed is at 2,000 r/min, confirm the oil pressure is within the standard
range. Standard value: 200 kPa or higher (at 2,000 r/min)
|
|
7.When the engine runs at high speed, confirm the oil pressure does not exceed 700 kPa.
If necessary, replace the oil filter bracket.
|
|
8.Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to the specified torque. If the sealing ring
has an oil leakage, replace the sealing ring. Tightening torque: 22 N·m
