- The rate of increase of the engine coolant temperature is below threshold for the
specified time.

- The engine coolant temperature is below threshold for the specified time.
FAIL SAFE FUNCTION
- Engine coolant temperature is recognized as specified
temperature.
PROBABLE CAUSE
- Failed engine coolant temperature sensor
- Failed electrical harness in engine coolant temperature sensor circuit
