Inspection Procedure 1: M.U.T.-III cannot communication only with ABS-ECU.


COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
When M.U.T.-III cannot communicate with the ABS system, the CAN bus line, ABS-ECU power supply circuit system, or ABS-ECU may be faulty.

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • ABS-ECU malfunction
  • Wrong routing of M.U.T.-III harness
  • Abnormality in battery or generator
  • Abnormality in power supply voltage to ABS-ECU
  • ECU malfunction of other system

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis
Use M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Check and repair the power supply circuit system (Refer to GROUP 16 - Charging System ).
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnosis table ).
