STEERING ANGLE CHECK

caution After adjusting the steering angle, always perform calibration to make ASC-ECU learn the neutral position of the steering wheel sensor (Refer to GROUP 35C, On-vehicle Service - Steering Wheel Sensor Calibration ).<Vehicles with ASC>
Standard value:
Inner wheel
38° 40’ ± 1° 30’
Outer wheel <Reference>
32° 20’

1.When the calibrated value is outside the standard value, improper toe-in adjustment may be present. Check and adjust the toe-in correctly if necessary.
Standard value: 1 ± 2 mm
To adjust the toe-in, remove the bellows clip of the tie-rod, loosen the locking nut, and then rotate the left tie-rod and right tie-rod in the reverse direction by an equal amount.
2.Recheck the steering angle.
