INSPECTION PROCEDURE 19: Outer Buzzer does not Sound.



caution Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.












OPERATION


The outer buzzer sounds under the following conditions.


PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code


Check whether a KOS-related diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Refer to .

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III actuator test


Check that the outer buzzer sounds (Refer to ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.

Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Connector check: F-16 outer buzzer connector, C-104 KOS-ECU connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.

Repair the defective connector.

STEP 4. Check the wiring harness between the F-16 outer buzzer connector terminal Nos. 1, 2 and the C-104 KOS-ECU connector terminal Nos. 35, 37.



note Before the wiring harness inspection, inspect the intermediate connectors C-36 and F-22, and repair them if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 5. Outer buzzer check


Remove the outer buzzer, and check that it sounds normally. Refer to .

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.

Replace the outer buzzer.

STEP 6. Check of the troubles


Check that the outer buzzer sounds when the outer buzzer sounding conditions are met.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Deal with Intermittent Malfunction ).

Replace KOS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to ).
