INSPECTION PROCEDURE 14: Auto Lock Function does not Work.


caution Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

OPERATION


When a driver brings the keyless operation key out of the passenger’s compartment, closes all the doors, and leaves the keyless operation key certification area outside the vehicle, all the doors are automatically locked. However, if an open signal from any door or ignition push switch ON signal has been input to ETACS-ECU, the auto lock function will not operate.

PROBABLE CAUSE



DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code


Check whether a KOS-related diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Refer to .

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check of the troubles


Check that the auto lock operates normally.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).

Perform troubleshooting for each door switch (Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS - Troubleshooting ).
