DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics.


Use M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (refer to Group 54C - Troubleshooting ).

STEP 2. Recheck of the SRS warning lamp


(1)Connect the negative battery terminal.

Q. Does the lamp illuminate?

Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. SRS warning lamp check


(1)Check that the negative battery terminal is disconnected. If the negative battery terminal is connected, disconnect it.

(2)While pushing the part "A" indicated in the figure of the harness side connector, turn the lock lever to the direction of the arrow to release the lock lever, and disconnect the C-32 SRS-ECU connector.
(3)Connect the negative battery terminal.
(4)Ignition switch: ON

Q. Does the lamp illuminate?

Replace SRS-ECU (Refer to ).

Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Wiring harness inspection between ignition switch (IG1) and C-03 combination meter connector terminal No. 2, and C-03 combination meter connector terminal No. 14, 15 and C-32 SRS-ECU connector terminal No. 15, 16


note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check the ETACS-ECU connectors C-301, C-309, and C-317, and repair if necessary.

  • The SRS warning lamp inspection for short circuit

Q. Is the check result normal?

Replace the combination meter. (Refer to GROUP 54A - Combination Meter .)
Repair the wiring harness.
