When only brackets A, B, or C shown in the figure are damaged, a low-cost repair can be performed by mounting a repair bracket. If the bracket D is damaged, cut off the damaged bracket D. (Mounting of repair bracket is not needed.)

For the use of repair bracket, only the mounting dimension is covered by the warranty. The headlamp performance is not covered by the warranty.

Remove the headlamp assembly. Then, remove the bulb, headlamp socket cover <vehicles with discharge headlamp>, and headlamp control unit <vehicles with discharge headlamp>
(Refer to  ).

1.Cut off the damaged bracket A.
2.Remove the remaining bracket cut surface using the sandpaper.

3.Fix the repair bracket to the headlamp assembly using the tapping screw.

1.Cut the damaged bracket B so that the cut surface becomes 8 mm or less from the mounting boss bearing surface for repair bracket.
2.Smoothen the bracket cut surface using the sandpaper.

3.Fix the repair bracket to the headlamp assembly using the tapping screw.
|

1.Cut the damaged bracket C so that the cut surface becomes 3 mm or less from the headlamp assembly body surface.
2.Smoothen the bracket cut surface using the sandpaper.

3.Fix the repair bracket to the headlamp assembly using the tapping screw.

1.Mount the bulb, headlamp socket cover <vehicles with discharge headlamp>
and headlamp control unit <vehicles with discharge headlamp>, and then mount the headlamp assembly to the vehicle (Refer to ).

2.Check that the headlamp assembly does not vibrate during driving.
|
|
|
3.Perform the headlamp aiming adjustment (refer to ) and light intensity measurement (refer to ).
