Code No.B2463 Rheostat switch seizure
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
If the combination meter detects the rheostat switch pressed state for 60 seconds or more continuously, the diagnosis code No. B2463 is stored.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of combination meter
- Malfunction of meter hood assembly (rheostat switch knob)
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Rheostat switch check
Check whether an abnormality is present to the combination meter and the rheostat switch knob attached to the meter hood assembly.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the combination meter or meter hood assembly, and then go to Step 2.
STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code
Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the combination meter.

(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
|
|
|
(3)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the combination meter, and then go to Step 3.
The diagnosis is complete.
STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set to the combination meter.

(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
|
|
|
(3)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Go to Step 1.
