Code No.22 Height Sensor Abnormality (Front)

caution Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.

TROUBLE JUDGMENT

When the headlamp automatic levelling ECU receives an abnormal voltage signal from the front height sensor, diagnosis code No. 22 is set.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

The front height sensor, the headlamp automatic levelling ECU, or wiring harness and connectors between the two may have a problem.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: A-05 front height sensor connector

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Repair the defective connector.

STEP 2. Front height sensor check

Check that the front height sensor is normal (Refer to ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.

Replace the front height sensor.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.

Q. Is diagnosis code No. 22 set?

Go to Step 4.

The diagnosis is complete.

STEP 4. Connector check: C-112 headlamp automatic levelling ECU connector

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.

Repair the defective connector.

STEP 5. Wiring harness check between the A-05 front height sensor connector terminal No. 1/2/3 and the C-112 headlamp automatic levelling ECU connector terminal No. 15/17/19.

note Before the wiring harness check, check the intermediate connector A-57, and repair that if necessary.
