Inspection Procedure 2: The rear display DVD player does not play the inserted DVD video disc.


DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. DVD video disc check
Check that the DVD (video disc) is for the domestic use.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Use the DVD video disc made for the domestic use.

STEP 2. Check of DVD (video disc) inserting direction
Check that the DVD video disc is inserted with the correct surface in right direction.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Check the correct disc insertion direction, then reinsert the disc (if it is a single-sided disc, insert with the label facing upward).

STEP 3. DVD video disc check
Check that the DVD video disc is free of dirt or scratch.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Clean the disc, use a disc without scratches and burrs, or remove the burrs from the disc, and then reinsert the disc.

STEP 4. Retest the system
Check if the DVD video disc is played normally when it is inserted.

Q. Is the check result normal?
The diagnosis is complete.
Replace the rear display unit.
