Inspection Procedure 6: The rear display sound is not output from the speaker.












DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: D-06 rear display unit connector, C-16 audio unit connector <vehicles without MMCS> or C-08 audio visual navigation unit connector <vehicles with MMCS>

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the connector concerned.

STEP 2. Wiring harness check between D-06 rear display unit connector and C-16 audio unit connector <vehicles without MMCS> or C-08 audio visual navigation unit connector <vehicles with MMCS>.
Check the communication lines for open circuit.

  • Check the wiring harness between D-06 rear display unit connector terminal Nos.10, 11, 22 and C-16 audio unit connector terminal Nos.13, 4, 14. <vehicles without MMCS>
  • Check the wiring harness between D-06 rear display unit connector terminal Nos.10, 11, 22 and C-08 audio visual navigation unit connector terminal Nos.64, 48, 49. <vehicles with MMCS>
note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector D-122, and repair if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Retest the system
Check if the rear display unit sound is output from the speaker.

Q. Is the check result normal?
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace the rear display unit.
