DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION


CVT-ECU monitors if power supply system is normal or not and judges the trouble.

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA



PROBABLE CAUSES



DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the following connector:

  • A-18X CVT control relay connector
  • C-136 CVT-ECU connector
Check each terminal for imperfect contact.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the defective connector.

STEP 2. Check for short circuit in the wiring harness between the fusible link No.36 and the CVT control relay connector.
Between fusible link No.36 and C-18X CVT control relay connector (terminal No.4)

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check for short circuit in the wiring harness between the CVT control relay connector and the CVT-ECU connector.
Between C-18X CVT control relay connector (terminal No.3) and C-136 CVT-ECU connector (terminal No.12, 25)

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 4. Check for open circuit in the wiring harness between the CVT-ECU connector and earth.

  • Between C-136 CVT-ECU connector (terminal No.13) and earth
  • Between C-136 CVT-ECU connector (terminal No.26) and earth

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 5. Symptom recheck after erasing diagnosis code

Q. Is the check result normal?
Intermittent malfunction
Replace CVT-ECU.
