The newly-developed transfer for the electronically-controlled 4WD has been adopted. The features are as follows:
Lightweight and compact design with the simpler internal structure compared to that of the centre differential type full-time 4WD, by installing the driving force distribution mechanism of the electronically-controlled 4WD onto rear differential side.
The optimised gear ratio by reducing gear offset amount
Higher output shaft take-out position corresponding to the flattened front suspension crossmember
The dynamic dumper located on the rear end of the transfer to reduce booming noise
