DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS


These codes are set when a low (code No. B1011) or high (code No. B1012) to the ambient temperature sensor circuit is detected.

PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of ambient temperature sensor
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Damaged CAN converter-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Connector check: A-51 ambient temperature sensor connector and D-252 CAN converter-ECU connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Repair the damaged connector.

STEP 2. Wiring harness check between A-51 ambient temperature sensor connector terminal No. 1, 2 and D-252 A/C-ECU connector terminal No. 14, 15



  • Check the input line for open or short circuit.
note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector D-239, and repair if necessary.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Ambient temperature sensor check


Refer to .

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the ambient temperature sensor.

STEP 4. Diagnosis code recheck


Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the CAN converter-ECU.
