Code No.P0882: Power supply system
OPERATION The A/T-ECU is energised via the A/T control relay from the battery.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION While the engine is running, if a status continues for 20 seconds with which the power supply voltage to A/T-ECU is 9 V or less (1 drive cycle), code No.P0882 is set.
PROBABLE CAUSES
Malfunction of A/T control relay
Damaged harness wires and connectors
Malfunction of the A/T-ECU
STEP 1. Connector check: D-110 A/T control relay connector
Check for the contact with terminals.

Go to Step 2.
Replace the A/T control relay.

Go to Step 3.
Replace the A/T control relay.
STEP 3. Measure the voltage at A/T control relay connector D-110.
Disconnect the connector, and measure the voltage between terminal No.1 and earth at the harness side.

Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 7.
Go to Step 4.
STEP 4. Connector check: A-03 <LHD> or D-137 <RHD> intermediate connector, D-113 J/C (6) connector
Check for the contact with terminals.

Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Repair the defective connector.
STEP 5. Check the harness between A/T control relay connector D-110 terminal No.1 and battery.
Check the power supply line for damage, short and open circuit.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 6.
Repair the wiring harness.
STEP 6. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

Is diagnosis code No.P0882 set?
Replace the A/T-ECU.
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
STEP 7. Measure the voltage at the A/T control relay connector D-110.
(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure the voltage between terminal No.4 and earth at the harness side.
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.OK: System voltage

STEP 8. Connectors check: D-229 intermediate connector, D-401, D-403 J/B connector
Check for the contact with terminals.

Go to Step 9.
Repair the defective connector.
STEP 9. Check the wiring harness between A/T control relay connector D-110 terminal No.4 and J/B connector D-401 terminal No.12.
Check the power supply line for damage, short and open circuit.

Go to Step 6.
Repair the wiring harness.
STEP 10. Measure the resistance at A/T control relay connector D-110.
Disconnect the connector, and measure the resistance between terminal No.2 and earth at the harness side.

Go to Step 13.

STEP 11. Connectors check: D-111 J/C (5), D-14 earth connector
Check for the contact with terminals.

Go to Step 12.
Repair the defective connector.
STEP 12. Check the harness between A/T control relay connector D-110 terminal No.2 and earth.
Check the earth line for damage and open circuit.

STEP 13. Connector check: D-140 A/T-ECU connector
Check for the contact with terminals.

Repair the defective connector.
STEP 14. Measure the resistance at A/T-ECU connector D-140.
Disconnect the connector, and measure the resistance between terminal No.6, No.18 and earth at the harness side.

STEP 15. Connectors check: D-111 J/C (5), D-14 earth connector
Check for the contact with terminals.

Repair the defective connector.
STEP 16. Check the harness between A/T-ECU connector D-140 terminal No.6, No.18 and earth.
Check the earth line for damage and open circuit.

Repair the wiring harness.
STEP 17. Measure the voltage at the A/T-ECU connector D-140.
(1)Measure the voltage between terminal No.1 and earth at the ECU side.
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.OK: System voltage

Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 18.
STEP 18. Check the harness between A/T control relay connector D-110 terminal No.3 and A/T-ECU connector D-140 terminal No.1.
Check the power supply line for damage, short and open circuit.
